Update: I was down again this morning from 10:30am to 11:30am.
I haven’t been able to get online basically for the last three evenings due to problems on their end. They’ve been so good until now! Perhaps they’re making up for “non-downtime” for all the years I’ve been with them essentially trouble-free… 😛
Here’s a little rant about the SBC Yahoo DSL status updates the technicians post when you call them.
Basically, they tell you:
- where the problems are
- they’re aware of the problem
- they’re working to resolve the issue
- the estimated time of recovery (can’t think of the right term)
They don’t tell you specifically what the problem is, though. If it’s going to take 4-5 hours at a time, I think it’d be best if they knew why it would take so long. The last problems I had on Tuesday night would be like 4pm to 9pm, then 9pm to 8am for the next morning: when I have school. 😆 I mean…wow.
I posted about it on the DSL Reports forums in hopes one of the floating techs might respond. (Broadband Reports) In any case, it’s been tough. I’m having withdrawal symptoms. Internet is a drug, you know…
