Just a few things I had to mention about my day that went right…
I have this fee waiver I need to turn in ASAP at school, and I forgot that I needed my mom’s signature. On the way home, I was planning how to best get ahold of her to sign it. I wasn’t too far from home when she called – she was at home. She was able to sign it. In the morning, I’ll be able to bring it to school to get my tuition fees resolved, and I didn’t have to go all the way to her work in Pasadena to get her to sign the paper. It was one less thing to worry about.
This evening, I needed to take some time to get contact lenses (I just ran out). I’d normally clean concession at 6pm, but I had to get the lenses before 8pm when they close. I called in hopes they could just find the boxes I needed before I would get there, to save time. However, they broke their promise that they’d call me when they were ready. 40 minutes later, I had to follow up myself. By the time I drove out there, picked up the lenses, and got back to Kare to clean, it was 7:45pm.
My last duty in cleaning concession is to mop – but it was gone. I called my friend (Arthur, the man in charge) and checked a few places. At the same time, I was cleaning up scattered trash carelessly left behind. By the time he told me to forget about mopping, the gym and patio looked much better than before. (I felt good!)
Andy just got out of meetings. I haven’t eaten dinner, so I asked if he wanted to get some food. He already ate, but needed Subway for lunch tomorrow – I had a coupon (2 foot long subs for $7.99). Then when I picked him up at his house to carpool, he found a better coupon (3 foot long subs for $12.99). I still paid four bucks, but it worked better for him in the end – he was still hungry, so he ate one then saved the other for lunch.
I don’t know if I explained it just the way I’d like, but I wanted to jot down some blessings that were given to me today – I don’t deserve it, yet God continues to bless me time and time again. Hopefully my sharing is uplifting to some of you.
