Sort Firefox Bookmarks weirdness

Sort Bookmarks 0.6.0 is being kind of weird. Upon clicking “Sort by Name” in the main menu, Bookmarks Synchronizer 1.0.1 comes up instead. Right-clicking on any bookmark will sort that folder only. Also, I can’t sort in bookmark manager. *sigh*

  1. I would try disabling the “Bookmarks Synchronizer 1.0.1” from the
tools (menu), extensions via right-click, to see if your “Sort Bookmarks 0.6.0” works then.

It might be tbe order in which the extensions are installed or might be impossible for them to coexist.

After finding what happens after disabling, you could contact the author of the synchronizer or file a bug report, and include your success or failure of disabling. (You have to recycle Firefox when disabling or reenabling just like with
    installing extensions).

You might do a search on “bookmarks” within your “about:config” settings.

  2. I had the same problem — uninstalled sort bookmarks, then reinstalled and I could see both options on the menu. Then I did about:config and set the sortbookmarks.recursive option to true, and the sorting works correctly.
