Unrated Songs in iTunes

I’ve already rated most all my songs in iTunes, but I’ll always acquire more to rate. So, thanks to Alex for posting this tip for rating songs without the smartlist dynamically updating and stopping playback. I had the problem at home, but just went with it. “The solution? Set your ‘Unrated’ [Smart] playlist as the source for Party Shuffle then the songs stay in the queue and keep playing – it’s that easy (and unintuitive).” You’ll need to enable Party Shuffle for this. Edit > Preferences > General. Check “Party Shuffle”. Jon Poyner, you reading this?

  1. The link Alex has about rating songs quickly…but the download only seems to work for Mac. How do you rate songs quickly, Bryan? Do you use your iPod (would seem the most convenient)? Is there a shortcut I can use on my PC to rate songs in iTunes?

  2. I rate my songs more when I’m in my car, driving to/from work. But when I’m at home, I still have to manually click over. I don’t mind too much, but there should be some sort of app for Windows, though.
