On Andy’s class blog, he put picture posts in their own category as children of the pictures category. It’s not elegant, but it’ll have to do until I figure something out by next school year. Anyway, when using the wp_list_cats template tag, the hierarchical parameter wasn’t working. All the categories were shown without any indication for the child categories. Edit: Here’s the fix.
Yo, think about it: if you can use a blog category to make picture albums in WordPress, (assuming of course that the thumbnails and larger versions have been made already in another imaging package), there really is no need to install a gallery script of any sort on the server. (It takes a bit of work though, especially linking the images. Me? I post enough photos to be happy about it and not pull my hair out about the process of making a post itself.)
