I’m sorry, James. I’m not as upset, only because people don’t ping or send me trackbacks too much. However, feeds and pinging Ping-o-Matic should be fine right out of the box. I hope something gets done soon, or else Podz, Craig, and the rest of the gang in the forums will be having a field day.
Just wanted to let you know that the ping-o-matic issue was resolved on ping-o-matic’s end. You may return to using your normal (un-edited) functions.php file, and there is a slightly better fix for the RSS issue here: http://mosquito.wordpress.org/view.php?id=1323

Hm, the above link doesn’t work as it should, but here’s the summary:
I can send and receive trackbacks and pingbacks via NuclearMoose’s blog.
Btvillarin cannot send and receive trackbacks and pingbacks via NuclearMoose’s blog.
I cannot send and receive trackbacks and pingbacks via Podz’ test blog.

And, one more thing, to fix the pingback and trackback issue, you will also need revision 2606 of xmlrpc.php: http://trac.wordpress.org/file/trunk/xmlrpc.php?rev=2606

Thanks for the email, James! I’ll post what you sent me, and I hope you do too (cuz more people visit you rather than me). 😉
