Caffeinate Your Hypertext

I loved this conversation I had today! I won’t say anything further, in hopes you all understand what I mean:

Bryan: I wish everybody actually used hypertext rather than just using “here” and “click here” to link to different pages
Matt: i learned it from you 😉
Bryan: Wow, thanks!
Matt: no, i’m serious
Matt: it makes a LOT more sense
Matt: to quote words instead of heres
Matt: my gosh
Matt: lol

  1. Yeah, but when you’re working a support situation where speed if necessary, it’s just easier to type “You can find the article here: [paste URL].” It seems to be common practice amongst most customer support departments and communities.

  2. I know what you mean, I think it was more aimed towards bloggers and stuff (hence the tag). I totally agree – some applications, like help desks, need for the links to be just like that. 😉
