Goodbye Sony

After reading The Big Picture‘s lengthy and thorough post “DRM Crippled CD: A bizarre tale in 4 parts“, I lost respect for Sony. The whole sob story Sony tells us is very hypocritical:

“the new copy protection scheme — which makes it difficult to rip CDs and listen to them with an iPod — is designed to put pressure on Apple to open the iPod to other music services, rather than making it dependent on the iTunes Music Store for downloads.”

Anyway, read the article and open your eyes.

The only way the corporation will realize that we don’t like this is if we hit them where it hurts most: their pockets. My mom likes the name, because they make good products. But if I explain to her why they’re evil, I think she’ll tell her friends. How can I help spread this?
