When I heard about Moo launching Flickr Minicards, I had to get the free sample.
Timeline:
- Wednesdsay, 2006-09-20: Free 10-pack of Moo Minicards
- Thursday, 2006-09-28: Email confirmation of mailing
- Monday, 2006-10-02: They’re here!
I love ’em! The quality of the photo on the front and the text on the back looks great. The packaging of the cards (not the envelope) is really slick, too. I’m almost hesitant to give these 10 minicards out, but I think it’s an awesome way to get someone to remember you and get your contact information easily. Fortunately, I think I have some good photos to use, too, so that helps.
I’ll get the 100-pack soon enough, but I’ll enjoy giving these out and seeing what they think about them. Awesome job, Moo!
See what they’re saying at Technorati about Moo MiniCards
Update 10/6/2006: Um, it’s Friday, and I only have two Moo Minicards yet. I think I’ll be ordering my 100-pack today.
Those are so cool! How come you never told me to sign up for free ones? blasted….

Only because they were for Pro accounts. Then again, I don’t think I told Pete or Andy. (Oops.)

*sniff* By the time I got there yesterday they had given all 10000 packs away.

Sorry to hear that, Chris. I’m pretty sure they were gone a day or two after they launched. I ordered the day I heard about it. Either way, just get the 100-pack. Totally worth it. 🙂

MJ: “Only because they were for Pro accounts.” I think it’d be kinda small for senior pictures, but if you think people would like ’em, I say go for it! (It’s only October, though – you still have time.)

@Andy: You didn’t “just come across” that other provider of mini cards. Terrible. I think I’ll state how lame and misleading that comment is. How about it, huh?
