This was my revisit to a photo I took over four years ago. I’m no Brian Auer when it comes to processing photos, but I think it looks much better than the original:

I’m new at actually processing photos (as opposed to just uploading the original), so I’d appreciate all the help I can get. I’m currently using Paint.NET – because price is a factor – but I’m willing to switch to GIMP.
LOL — It does look much better than the original. It’s pretty amazing what a little increase in contrast and saturation can do. Most of my photos straight out of the camera have that kind-of dull haze over it. It’s funny, you don’t really notice it until you’ve processed the image.
Keep it up. You ought to try the GIMP. From what I understand, it’s quite capable and very similar to Photoshop.
