Ankle tendon inflamed again

In pain (23/366)

I felt something wrong yesterday morning. By lunch, I was certain my ankle was acting up again.

Almost one year ago, I had an inflamed tendon in my right ankle. From what I remember, the solution was to get SuperFeet insoles to correct my feet and to prevent the injury from reoccurring. Here it is again, so I’m stumped.

I don’t know how it happens. It creeps up on me.

I don’t have health insurance at the moment, and I’m not going to the county hospital this time. Like last time, this should simply take some time and rest. I hope.

  1. Aww Bryan, that sucks! Poor you. Might I make a recommendation though? Get some tiger balm. and or try heat therapy. I’m no expert though, but when my tendons, ligaments, muscles, or anything like that starts to bug I go for the tiger balm and either a cold compress or a hot one… It helps, but only temporarily… I, like you, am insuranceless as well. DAMN THE MAN BRYAN!! DAMN THE MAN!! You think the most powerful country could take care of its citizens a little better…

  2. @Wen:

Thanks for the recommendation! The last time around, I was told to just ice it often, which I’ve been doing. No heat therapy because it’s not muscle-related. I’m also taking generic Ibuprofen.

About health insurance – I was looking at Tonik Insurance (from Blue Cross). Any thoughts on that?

  3. Dude! Tonik sounds awesome! $77 a month is what I’m talking about… Hey last year I only saw a doctor once. That’s a great deal! I think I’m gonna go get me some health insurance shoot!

Hope your ankle gets better soon Bryan. Ibuprofen always works for the pain, as long as eat something, and ice will help the inflammation to go down… So do what you’re doing and stay off of it as much as you can, I know that’s hard, but I’m sure you’re doing what you can…
