Using public transportation opens your eyes to seeing a diverse crowd of people: rowdy, eccentric, confused or shy.

Then you see people like the one in this photo, staring into the distance. I can’t help but wonder what their story is. What did he go through? What is he going through right now? Is there anything I can do?

I snap out of it and board the train.
