I bought a few Uni-ball Signo 207 pens earlier last year. They’ve been through a hectic year (2009) of school, and they still write incredibly smooth (for the price).
Lately, I’ve been trying to write ideas on index cards for future blog posts. Oh no, the two pens I have left are almost out of ink! Fortunately, they’re refillable. I just bought a pack at my local stationary store. It feels good not adding more cheap pens to a landfill.
Oh, and if I ever write checks, I know they can’t be washed.
Tip: Medium and micro refills are interchangable. I prefer micro.
I am a pen snob too and only write with A.T. Cross pens (like my Pops). There’s nothing like writing with a +$100 pen (and my work provides free ink refills)!
Since you’re writing often, you might like a Fisher Space Pen. They can write underwater, upside-down, even in space! http://www.spacepen.com/

Hudson: I wouldn’t spend that much money. I’m not writing that much to justify the cost. But, if someone were to buy me one of those, I wouldn’t turn it down.

The pen freaks of the world- and believe me, we are many- tend to agree on Uniball being the best brand out there. For me the 207 Micro is the best of the best. Welcome to the club!
