See you later, Delicious

I just exported my Delicious bookmarks file for safekeeping. Why? September 23, 2011 is the last day before AVOS migrates to the new site on September 24^th. I haven’t seen a rebuttal to “Why You Should Think Twice About Opting-In to the Delicious-AVOS Transfer“, and I haven’t used the service since December 2010.

It was a good run, but I’d rather use my blog.

Are you going to keep using Delicious with AVOS?

This is why I used Pinboard.

Well worth the one time sign up fee.

I really don’t get Yahoo.

This is either a big mistake on Yahoo’s part, or will turn out to be a shockingly smart move.

I keep all my bookmarks in XMarks. They are backed up and accessible online, and it even gets automatically synced to all my computers. love it.

I switched to Pinboard as well. That plus Evernote equals no more Delicious.
