A Heineken storage silo

“Directly above you are 15 massive storage silos, some over 20 metres tall. They were used to store malted barley for crafting and brewing Heineken. Historically, the barley arrived by ship via the canal across the street and was transferred to the top of the building directly into these historic silos. The brewing process went on for 24 hours a day with up to six brews a day.” (Heineken Experience, Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
