Happy album release day, Finch!

Congrats, Finch! Thank you for doing the following:

Finch still follows me 2014-09-30I’ll keep this here in case this ever changes. 😉

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday at the Observatory!1

  1. I wouldn’t be available for their West Hollywood show in November, and Amy suggested we go to this one. Brilliant!

Awesome gifts from my wife

For Christmas and my birthday, my wife bought me tickets to a Finch concert, who is reuniting for the 10–year anniversary of their album “What It Is To Burn”. (Their site is using WordPress and Twenty Eleven. Excellent!)

Amy knows I can impersonate an exaggeration of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s voice, so…the shirt.

Lastly, I’ve mentioned the Pinky and the Brain DVD set many times, so she took the hint and bought it for me.

Not pictured is a gift certificate for a 90–minute reflexology massage at Heart & Sole Reflexology. The massage was very relaxing.

Thank you so much, Amy!

Finch at The Glass House

A month ago, Finch booked a last-minute free show (dubbed the Warped Tour Pre Party) at The Glass House. I sent them a message, and Daniel got back to me. Unfortunately, he couldn’t guarantee me a photo pass since Warped Tour was running it.

At the Glass House, I was able to say hi to Grizz[1. He was running merch at the time.] and Nate. Then, I bumped into Randy. He recognized me and handed me a wrist band (photo pass). Score! A few minutes later, I saw Daniel. Good times.

Will I ever meet their drummer, Drew Marcogliese?

They had an awesome show and I got a few snaps for them.

My favorites:

Rancy (I mean, Randy) comes out wearing a motorcycle helmet. Hilarious!

The epic shot of Nate screaming

Thanks for the photo pass, guys! I hope our band gets to open for you someday. 😉

Finch concert at the UC Forum

Finch at the UC Forum (University of San Diego)

On Thursday afternoon, I drove all the way to the UC Forum at the University of San Diego to see Finch and Saosin. However, this time was different. At will-call, there was an all-access VIP pass with my name on it.[1. Why? Daniel Wonacott (bassist from Finch) liked my photos of their show at The Roxy Theatre last Monday. So, I asked for a photo pass and he said it wouldn’t be a problem.]
