I coworked with James Huff today, and I had a great time. For lunch, we went to 42nd St Gastropub in Santa Clarita. I ate the Monte Cristo with Truffle Fries. Delicious.
Cereal-crusted & deep fried challah bread + ham + turkey + Gruyere + in-house berry preserves

I made this masterpiece for Amy tonight. Apparently, it was delectable. Yay!
- Dip the bread pieces in the egg batter.
- Cook one side of each piece (simultaneously) until golden brown.
- Flip both pieces to the other side, then add two slices of cheese.
- Close the sandwich, and cook the remaining sides, which will also allow the cheese to melt.
A couple months ago, I went to lunch with Amy at Porto’s Bakery & Cafe in Burbank. It was my first time there, and I’ll just say that I’m glad there’s another one in Glendale (closer to us).
I had a Cubano sandwich (above), potato ball, and chocolate croissant. Scrumtrulescent!
